I met Johnny in 1972 with Sarah (now Peacock) during our lunch hour from the Western Mail and Echo, in the cocktail bar at The Royal Hotel, Cardiff...where else?? He was funny, entertaining and incredibly caring and generous to his friends, which has been evidenced many times over the years. He lived his life to the full and was a true Cardiff legend.
