What a great guy Johnny was. Having met him at an infamous house party in St.Hilary some 25 years ago we shared some great times together. His love and knowledge of sport was truly exceptional and many stories would be told in the local pub, THe Bush, St.Hilary! It wasn''t until many years later that myself and family came to appreciate a different side to Johnny. We had experienced some business difficulties and Johnny took it upon himself to approach myself and wife to lend a hand. He went out of his way to listen to how the scenario had played out and last year when we were back in the UK, Johnny spent a week in London with myself arranging meetings with some of his business contacts.He had no need to do any of this. Angela and I will be forever thankful to him. A generous, charismatic man who will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. R.I.P Russell and Angela Thomas (NZ)
